From the Labs: teaching the studio to watch itself

Live production wants a video switcher, an audio engineer, a note-taker, and somebody actually doing the show. In a one-person studio, the show is what loses — so we're teaching the studio to watch itself.

Supervision and Giotto are Labs projects, in active development at The Woodshed and built in the open. This is a project announcement, not a product launch — nothing here is for sale yet.

What's working today: ATEM video, studio audio, and speech-to-text feed one supervisor that watches the room while the operator works — the desk mic transcribes in about 1.6 seconds, so notes take themselves. Giotto, the sibling project, already runs its pipeline end to end: thirty-second launch videos assembled from a site's own published pages, scored from its own music library, rendered in every aspect ratio a platform wants.
