Hello, I’m Kenneth Jackson
I start things. I solve problems. I tear things up. I fix things. I organize information. I build beautiful systems.
I’m a creative technologist who bridges the worlds of software development, audio/video production, electronic music, and systems administration. Whether I’m building iOS apps, producing live streams, patching modular synthesizers, or developing custom audio plugins, I bring technical expertise and creative problem-solving to every project.
My Journey
My career journey took me from my dad’s insurance office to the banking industry, where I spent years at Texas American Bank and later Bank One Trust Company during the wild days of bank failures and mergers in the late ’80s and early ’90s. I managed everything from securities transactions for major corporations like Tandy and Pier 1 to complex systems integration projects across trust accounting and oil and gas divisions.
In 1994, I formed Connections Information Systems with a simple motto: “We bring Fortune 500 style computing to small business.” Actually, our stuff is usually better than what the Fortune 500 has. I built my first website on CompuServe in 1992, and since then I’ve evolved from building Flash sites (yes, I have my own “Why Flash Sucks” presentation now) to specializing in WordPress development, e-commerce, and Internet marketing.
What I Do
Development & Technology
I create native iOS and macOS applications using Swift and Xcode, build responsive websites with WordPress, and develop custom audio plugins using JUCE and Max/MSP. From mobile apps to VST plugins to embedded audio systems on Electrosmith Daisy platforms, I work across the full technology stack to bring ideas to life.
Audio & Video Production
I provide professional production services from The Woodshed, my project studio equipped with professional gear for music recording, podcast production, and audio post-production. I also offer live audio engineering and multi-camera video production for events, with expertise in live streaming to YouTube, Facebook, and custom RTMP destinations.
Live Performance & Electronic Music
As itK, I perform live electronic music using an extensive collection of hardware synthesizers and modular gear including the oZm Eurorack system, Expressive E Osmose, Moog Messenger, and an ever-growing collection of Behringer modules (affectionately known as “The Clone Army”). I stream performances regularly, creating immersive soundscapes and experimental compositions in real-time.
Systems Administration & Support
I provide comprehensive IT support for macOS, iOS, Linux systems, and cloud infrastructure. From server administration to WordPress optimization to creative software support (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro), I keep technology running smoothly so you can focus on your creative work.

The Woodshed Studio
My project studio houses an impressive array of gear including the oZm modular synthesizer, Yamaha MX-88, Expressive E Osmose, acoustic drums (Aja – Yamaha Recording Custom), a modular drum machine (Eja), guitars, bass, and countless modules and effects. It’s both a production facility and a laboratory for creative technology exploration.
Philosophy
Technology should empower creativity, not hinder it. Whether I’m writing code, mixing audio, or patching synthesizers, my goal is to create systems that work elegantly and enable people to do their best work. I believe in understanding the full stack—from low-level DSP algorithms to user interface design—because the best solutions come from seeing the complete picture.
