Short bio
Kenneth Jackson is a creative technologist in Amarillo, Texas, working at the junction of software development, audio/video production, and electronic music. He founded Connections Information Systems in 1994 to bring Fortune 500-style computing to small business, and has been building and running systems for independent shops ever since. Today his work spans three counters: operations software including LogMyRepair, the itK-Publish publishing platform, and audio, video, and live broadcast from The Woodshed studio. His working motto: "I start things. I solve problems. I organize information. I build beautiful systems."
Full biography
Kenneth Jackson got his start in his father's insurance office, and learned systems the hard way in banking — managing systems infrastructure through the late '80s and early '90s at Texas American Bank and Bank One Trust Company, where he managed securities processing for Tandy and Pier 1 and led systems integration across trust accounting and oil-and-gas divisions through a wave of bank mergers. Banking taught the discipline that still runs through his work: systematic thinking, attention to detail, and reliability in systems that are not allowed to fail.
In 1992 he put his first presence online through CompuServe. In 1994 he founded Connections Information Systems with a straightforward mission — bring Fortune 500-style computing to small business — and the practice has tracked every era of the industry since: from the early web through Flash to modern web platforms, native iOS and macOS development in Swift, and cloud infrastructure.
Alongside the business technology work, Jackson has maintained a working practice in audio production and electronic music. Studio work for local musicians grew into multi-camera video, live streaming infrastructure, and the itK live performance project, built around a deep bench of instruments — the oZm Eurorack system, Expressive E Osmose, Moog, and the Behringer "Clone Army." He builds his own audio tools in JUCE, Max/MSP, and RNBO, and works daily in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and Bitwig.
Those paths converge at The Woodshed, his studio in Amarillo: a customer production facility, a live broadcast origin, and the R&D lab where his software is tested on his own operations before it ships to anyone else. LogMyRepair runs real repair shops; KennethJackson.Tech runs on his own itK-Publish platform; the audio tools are stress-tested in real sessions. When the shop light is on, The Woodshed is the room you're watching.

Della
Della is the shop's assistant — an AI, and the other name you'll meet here. She answers the "Talk to Della" line on this site, takes messages when the light is off, and keeps the shop's operations moving behind the scenes: minding the books, the publishing pipeline, and the session records for the work you see on this site. Kenneth builds; Della keeps the receipts.
She'll tell you what the shop does, take your name and number, and get you to Kenneth when the light's on — but she doesn't quote prices, promise dates, or pretend to be human. Anything you need on the record goes through the contact form, and she reads everything that comes in.
