Google Maps - 1So How Do I get my Business on the Map

This got me thinking that maybe people just do not know how to add their business to Google Maps? Here I am going to show you how to do just that.

While Google, Yahoo and other maps gather business information from numerous websites (Yellow Pages directories, and other sources) to populate their search results, you can easily enter your own information into these online services for free. Here’s how:

After you input your information, Google will send you a confirmation code by snail mail or phone. When the activation code arrives, hold on to it because you will need to add the code to your Local Listings Center to activate your business listing.

After you have input your information, Bing will send you a confirmation code in the mail (regular postal mail); pretty much the same way Google does it. When the activation code arrives, hold on to it because you will need to add the code to your Local Listings Center to activate your business listing.
